Oh how I've missed the blogosphere since I've been gone. Technically, I'm still not home, I'm at my parents'. We got back kind of later than planned last night and I had turned the heat off in my apartment while I was gone, so I decided to stay here where it was nice and warm =)
Therefore, I haven't had the time/capability to upload any picture from the trip (I have 480..) But I will say that I had a fantastic time! This was no vacation, though; we worked
almost everyday. I had a scare at the airport yesterday: I was one of the 1st to check in at the U.S. Airways kiosk when we arrived at Nassau from San Salvador and I somehow managed to check my bag without a tag on it. A woman was helping me check-in and she said "When you're boarding passes print, you're good to go." I took that literally and left before they tagged by suitcase.. I got to security and customs before I was alerted about the mistake. A lot of time was spent trying to track down my rogue bag but somehow, someone behind the scenes must have figured it out and my bag arrived in Pittsburgh with us (Thank God!)
I'll work on my Bahamas recap post a little later. Right now my mom is kindly doing my laundry (with gloves so as not to contract any poison wood from my clothes) and then I get to take a shower! --
The whole time I was in the Bahamas I had to shower in my bathing suit with someone else, so I've been looking forward to this shower for days!-- My parents waited for me to come back before they got a tree so we're going Christmas tree hunting this afternoon. But before I head out, I will leave you with a picture of the beach that I took on my phone.. =)
I miss it already. I believe this was East Beach on the island but I'm not positive.. could be Rice Beach. Either way, I wanna go back!
.. And a couple souvenirs that I pulled from the ocean..
I still haven't looked at my google reader to see how much I've missed. It will probably be overwhelming! Excited to get caught up, though.
What were some highlights that I missed in the last 9 days?!
